I take a lot of pictures

But I’ve never taken one every single day. So that’s what this is, a new 365 project that kicked off January 1, 2025. It was recently inspired after enjoying Robin Spielmann’s recent daily photo series.

I process my images as minimally as possible. All photos here are taken as JPGs and edited on my phone using Lightroom. Or VSCO. I try to carry a camera with me at all times.

A photo makes a great time capsule. I enjoy the thought of an image’s interestingness over time, as thoughtfully explained by Noah Kalina. In the current AI image-gen landscape, a real landscape holds more value than ever. Photography feels like a truth, provided the photographer makes a promise to provide that. And really, that’s how I decide if something is worth documenting.

For the time being, I’m only sharing these photos here and some outtakes on my Bluesky account. This site is running on WordPress and uses a custom theme I threw together in a couple days. The monospace typeface in use is Wintyr.

My photography has been featured on Condé Nast Traveler, Quartz, London Daily News, Seattle Mag, and Buzzfeed.
